There is an elevating shift happening in our collective consciousness; we are awakening, remembering, evolving, even as we see devastation all around us. 

This NFT collection illustrates a sampling of emotive experiences reflected in my paintings during my own process of “waking up.” In my opinion, awakening to why we’re here and who we are is the only thing we’re here to do.

These NFTs are comprised of three digital photographs of each painting from different perspectives, put together in a gif format. The paintings were made with acrylic and spray paint, and sometimes stencil. They were created between Spring 2021 and Fall 2022 after I had a series of healing journeys with psilocybin. 

I was questioning why I was here and battling profound depression. During my first psilocybin experience, I received the message that I was an artist as well as saw a vision of me painting at an easel in my garage. Painting? As a published writer for more than 20 years, it was a shock. But suddenly it all made sense. 

So, I started painting. These 11 NFTs are part of what was created and speak to the many emotions that I cycled through during this part of my awakening to embody the artist.
